This guide has been written to help you when you receive an Xbox ICMP error code. If you encounter an ICMP error when trying to connect to Xbox Live, try resetting your network connection to factory settings. Keep in mind that resetting these settings will remove all of your network configuration from your Xbox, including your Wi-Fi password, so you’ll need to enter it again.
If your Xbox 360 console is connected to the internet but can’t connect to Xbox LIVE and you get an ICMP error after running the Xbox LIVE website link test, follow these steps:
I. Reset your Xbox 3 console’s network settings to factory settings
NOTE. Before anyone resets your Xbox 360 console, remember your current network settings and Wi-Fi password (when connected to a secure network) so you can restore them later.
STEP 1: Press the guide button on your Xbox 3 controller.
STEP 8. Select Settings, then System Preferences.
STEP 3. Select “Network Settings”, then select “Wired Network” or “Wireless Network Name” (depending on I wireless connection).
STEP 4. Select Set Up Network.
STEP 5. Click the Advanced Settings tab and when prompted, select Restore Factory Settings or Yes, Restore Factory Settings.
NOTE. This will basically reset the network settings of the specific Xbox 360 console, but will not reset other settings to zero.
STEP 6. Turn off your xbox 360 console.
Why does my Xbox keep saying network error?
Disconnect my network cable from the back of your console. Check the Xbox console cable plug and connector to make sure they are new and free of debris. Reconnect this situation and make sure it is bound to the mouse. Follow the TV network to your router, gateway or hub and turn it off.
Great STEP: Restart your Xbox 360.
NOTE. When you connect to a wireless network, you will be prompted to configure the wireless network settings. Follow the instructions on the screen to connect to your wireless network.

NOTE. Select Yes if you want to update the console software.

Wireless headsets and other third party wireless devices can actively interfere with your wireless connection because these products operate on the same coherence as a wireless wireless router. Here are some of the possible causes of errors:
After eliminating any possibleIf there is any interference, check the main connection to Xbox Live. If the same issue persists, continue with the instructions below.
NOTE. You can also change all of the router’s wireless channels to better isolate the problem.
STEP 1: Turn off your Xbox console and your main network (modem and router).
STEP is not the first, but the second: wait about a minute, then turn the modem back on and wait until it reconnects to the network (usually takes a minute).
STEP 3: Turn on your router and/or router and wait another minute.
STEP 4: Restart your Xbox, console, and test your connection to Xbox Live. If the same problem persists, continue to the next set of instructions.

How do I fix connection error on Xbox one?
Disconnect the power cord from the back of the hub. After a minute, plug your computer back in and wait for all the lights to return to their precious normal state. Turn on your game console. Remember to test your Xbox connection (Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings > Test connection).
STEP 1 . 5. Go to Settings, then select System Preferences.

NOTE. It doesn’t matter which storage device you choose, as the cache will be securely cleared for all storage devices on your hard drives.
